we stand with MARINA!

On Tuesday March 15, 2021, a Russian woman named Marina Ovsyannikova walked onto a live Channel One broadcast and began proclaiming, "Stop the war" and "No to war." Marina was a behind-the-scenes editor at Channel One, which is controlled by Vladimir Putin and has enabled him to lie to his people about "the special military operation," which is really an unprovoked, wholesale war against Ukraine. Marina was also carrying a sign that said in English: "No War" and "Russians Against War" and in Russian: "Don't believe the propaganda, they're lying to you." Marina was taken into custody and has been fined, but her fate is still uncertain. Putin has had political opponents and others 

deemed to be a threat to be killed on his orders.

Although Marina's courageous actions have generated enormous media attention, her story must be told to as many people as possible, especially to Russians, who have been lied to by Channel One and by Putin and his corrupt government. And for anyone  who says that this is all "fake news," ask them one question: 

"If Putin and his government have nothing to hide, why have they shut down all media except Channel One?" 

Obviously something terrible is being concealed - and that is the war against innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children, which the rest of the world is watching in horror. And if the Russian people knew what was being done in their name, they would be ashamed and appalled. Putin, a coward, is afraid of people like Marina Ovsyannikova and hopes she will be forgotten. 

It is up to everyone to ensure that she is not.

All social movements start with the heroic acts of a small but growing group of individuals who risk their lives to fight against tyranny. Vladimir Putin - and everyone who enables him - are war criminals who should (and will) be brought to justice. And the more that the Russian people see and understand this, the more likely that the reign of  Putin, who will destroy his country like Adolf Hitler did to Germany, will come to an end, and a great nation, Russia, will be led by a truly democratic government that honors human rights and is loved and respected 

around the world.
